Everyone who knows me knows that I love singing. My love affair with singing started ever since I was a young girl. In fact, singing is not the only thing I love to do…I love performing. Yes, as a child, I harbored dreams of becoming a singer, actress, Grammy-award winning performer…..
But let’s just say….thankfully, I grew up.

And as I grew up, I mixed with people of like mind…I spent a lot of time dancing, practising and singing with others my age. It was during High School days and also during college that I bloomed.

I was enrolled into KDU’s LLB program but spent most of my time practising dance and singing. I think my classmates didn’t like me much because I was always borrowing notes from them because I was never in class. One teacher even forgot my name…and there weren’t THAT many students in my class to begin with….hee hee hee….

Ji Yu Jin
Was part of Canto Rock group called Ji Yu Jin (Che Yiu Ren) (Freedom people). They’ve revamped their image and their band and they have gone ahead to release their own albums. Last I heard, they’ve released their third album already. Really miss those guys cause we used to spend 20 hours together everyday.

The original lineup

The other female band member and it was just me and the guys…

Singing for AMMB annual dinner

Recording studio in the wee hours of the morning, so, please forgive the hair and the glasses lah, ok?

Press conference for CantoRock concert whereby some of the biggest rock bands of our time came for a Beach Party concert in Sunway Lagoon. As you can see, there are Power Station (Tung lek for cher - Taiwan), Zen (from HK), Hei Phow (China) and then….there’s us, the opening act. I am the only female there lah. This is the first time so many camera lightbulbs ever went off in my face all at the same time!!

Something that I kept from a Chinese Newspaper. Up until today, I can only read ‘Marsha’ and ‘Isabella’, which was the song I sang. Ok, I can also read ‘only female performer’ in Chinese.

Awful makeup backstage! Yikes!

Performing in Sungei Wang with the band. Erm…was about 4 months pregnant prancing on stage at that time. Don’t worry, no jumping around. Only loads of head banging.
