Why Wine

You wanna know what I like to do at the end of the day? When things are all wrapped up, kids are in bed, and the computer is off (it’s hardly ever off, actually)? When the world falls silent and you can hear the cockroaches creeping around, when the human race calms down and the senses tunes down?

You know, ASTRO channel’s got this Jazz Music on 111? I turn that one on. Then I grab either a book that I am reading or National Geographic or last week’s newspaper, plonk myself on the sofa armed with a glass of wine and then start reading!

Oh, the total bliss!

But I have not been doing that these days. ASTRO on Demand is on and the only time I can get to watch it (or anything) is during the night. So now, I arm myself with a glass of wine, sit down and watch ASTRO. There are several variations to this ritual, actually.

1. Drink wine with TV
2. Drink wine with book
3. Drink wine with newspaper
4. Drink wine with magazine
5. Drink wine, sit at computer and blog
6. Drink wine and work
7. Drink wine in the shower
8. Drink wine and test out a new suddenly-thought-out recipe
9. Drink wine and clean the house
10. Drink wine and fold clothes and sort out laundry

Actually, I think it’s hard to actually get PISSED drunk when you drink wine slowly. That’s one of the reasons why I like to drink it at home. Outside, tak tau lah….whatever’s on the table also whack! Beer whack! Jim Beams whack! Jack Daniels whack! Swing whack! Vodka whack! Tequila whack! That why when one drinks outside the house, it’s easier to get totally bongcus.

But at home, there’s peace, there’s quiet, there’s just you and that soft jazz music playing. Your head gets lighter while your eyelids droop. And before you know it, you can’t wait to crawl to bed and call it a day!

NOTE: I am not promoting drinking, not promoting drinking wine, not promoting wine brand, not promoting wine glass and am definitely not promoting alcoholism. But according to research, a glass of wine a day is actually good for your health. ONE GLASS guys, ONE glass.

I’m a ‘black dog Guinness or Royal Stout with Ginseng’ kaki.
hahaha…it contains lots of B complex which relaxes the body and refreshes it too the next day I wake up.

Last night it was me…one hand holding the stout..the other hand holding a pen writing down music notations for my band’s upcoming practises.

A slow sip..every 1 minute…and after 15 minutes my head starts to feel lighter. It’s a stress reliever indeed. If I want to feel recharged after back to back late night shows…I crack a raw egg and stir it into the stout…and drink it. IT’s not hard to drink.

As I understand it from Stout drinkers…once the protein from the egg white plus the other minerals from the yolk is mixed with the B complex rich Stout…it will create a very
nutritous potion for the weary body.

Marsha…you should try it. FUlly recomended! Since you always say you ada ‘Marsha ala’..this potion will blow your Marsha ala’s away. ok?
