My Birthday Countdown Pictures 2007

I celebrated albeit countdown my birthday on Sunday night in Sanctuary (where else!) and despite having to go to work the next day, they came. I would like to thank those who came for coming. Some of them had ’splendid Mondays’ thereafter complete with eye-bags, huge hangovers and unexplainable stench resembling overnight beer.

The day started off great with a little mall-crawling and free lunch (free because she paid @ birthday present) with Samantha who lives opposite my condo who is also the manageress of the music school me and my kids attend. She’s been really great, so, thanks Samantha for consistently reminding me that I will be 3++++ only once in this life.

Many photos are featured here but there are lots more here if you’re into camwhoring stuff!

Samantha and Me

Dave, Samantha and Me. Dave is one of the guitar-teachers in the music school that Samantha works in. I tried to help him fix a transformers toy before. AND FAILED!!!

Dinner was great cause it was a record-breaking dinner. Usually, our family birthday dinners are always very low-key. No cake no nothing, just simple dishes resembling a picnic. But then this time, we had a record-breaking number of dishes and I love all the dishes too! So, me and my sister skipped the rice and ate the Kangkung Belacan like fried noodles (My family love kangkung belacan, actually. it’s staple diet during younger days). We have very Penang preference wan. So, we habis everything on the table. I was itching to use my new phone. Hee hee hee….

My family gave me a new Samsung (something-something model) as a present. I’ve been looking for a new phone lately and asked my sister, Karen, about which model is best (she is in the mobile industry and deals with Samsung a lot….which is my unexplainable {Korean-lah. where got unexplainable????] fave phone brands). She picked up the clue and bought one for birthday. I was TTTTTHHHHIIIIISSSSSS close to buying one on Friday….a cheaper model, actually. But heck, happy like a lark! Free new phone!!!!!!!! Yippeeee!!! Not like anything is wrong with my HP iPaq but the speaker quite cher-kai and cannot play song loud enough to hear. But damn good organizer. This new Samsung will definitely make my life complete.

People I’ve never met and people I have not seen for a long time came and it was special to me. Especially my dear cousin who is a loyal visitor of this blog whom I’ve not seen for an obscene  of years, Jamie. And his brother, Jorgie who brought his lovely girlfriend for us to meet. It was sort of a family gathering, really. My brother who was posted to JB for some years finally gets to celebrate a family member’s birthday without having to drive for hundreds of miles. Ann, my cousin was also there.

Siblings UNITE!! Karen, Damien and Me. It’s rare to get pictures of us three siblings together these days. My brother handsome or not? My sister pretty or not. I am going to do a little pimping, they’re both available, so, please go to contact page for more info. :-) Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

I just love this picture!! Karen (younger sis), Me, Ann (cousin) and Cynthia (long-time friend of everyone!)

Jamie and me. The only family member who also blogs. Thank you, cuz….for being the first to be there, for coming, for just being you, you know.

Me, Jorgie and his gorgeous girlfriend, Lisa

Jennsen, Me and Damien. It feels good to be squished between two good-looking blokes! :-)

Of course, even when I’ve quit True Fitness because I no longer have the time to go gym, my gym friends all still came. And I am really quite happy about that as well. Another surprise was that Kat and her dear husband came!! I was like….OMG! I sms-ed her late in the evening because I forgot to call her earlier and didn’t expect her to turn up. But yes wor….she came wor. We were supposed to meet up for Korean BBQ (because of my fascination with everything Korean) a lot of times already but because of time constraints, it never happened. It was a real surprise and pleasure to have finally met her….and her husband as well! Thank you, Kat!

Richard, Me and Danny. My very dear friends from gym

Kamen and Me. Another very dear gym friend!

Rocking with Richard

The night started out slow but picked up towards midnight. And I gulped down the flaming Lamborghini, I realize that I am one year older, one year wiser. One year closer to closing shop. Of course, with that in mind, habis-habis wine lah, beer lah, vodka lah, whatever-else-it-was-that-they-gave me until pengsan! Ha ha ha ha…..

In the Ice Room, negative 15 degrees, ok?, all the guys took off their shirts and downed vodka. I was laughing like a bloody hyenna watching them squirm and squiggle!!!!! But gosh, it was all for pure fun. Don’t do silly things, where got things to lauhg about. But these guys really made my day lah! Damn funny, man!

Finally, thank you to Karen and Ann for taking photos!!! I ‘gone case’ no time to take photo! Thank you.

It takes 7 mths of dieting to slim down, and just 7 nights of eating to gain it all back!! It’s not fair!!!

Looks like I will have to lay off the eating for a while!! Or maybe I should just diet after I leave-hor… :D
