When someone attempts to sing Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of you’ on stage, you sit up and listen for foul-ups. It’s true. When I attempt (yes, I said attempt) it on days when the throat ain’t feeling too good, I ask musicians to bring it down half or one key. Otherwise, I scared I ’koyak’ at the end (the ending ain’t no walk in the park, rite?). Kelly Clarkson is amazing. But…..hang on a minute. This is where the praising ends. At this point in time, I think Paris ‘jailbird’ Hilton’s and Hillary Duff is a welcome sound on the radio these days.

Seriously, am I the only one who thinks Kelly Clarkson’s latest hit, Never Again, a total screecher? I mean, we all know that Kelly Clarkson is THE most famous and most successful American Idol ever…so far…apart from Chris Daughtry and she’s got a vocal range from here to wwwaaaayyyyy oooovvvveeerrrr THERE. But….

There is such a thing as overdoing things. Like Christina Aguilera, overdoing it can hurt the ears. I love both of them and I love their vocals (plus songs) most of the time. But it seems that they’ve completely lost it vocally turning a potentially powerful singing to senseless screeching. I mean, in Christina’s ‘Candy Man’, she dragged her signature high note for like…..4 whole bars or something and I am going like….”ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH…..talk about cheong-hei (long-winded)!)

And as for Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Never Again’, the whole chorus revolves around the aim to bust ear-drums. Totally off-putting and she’s right. Never Again.
