This post was written for fun because I was bored and I liked the Hyun Bin-Kim Sun Ah combo. If you read properly, I originally wrote it for my sister and emailed it to her…for fun. But this page itself has been drawing throngs of Hyun Bin fans and Kim Sun Ah fans and is ranked No. 4(or something like that) in Google for ‘Hyun Bin’. So, things have gotten out of hand.
Especially since Hyun Bin recently announced that he is dating Hwang Ji Yun and not Kim Sun Ah. There’s this MEGA debate going on in this blog page…it’s almost like a forum here. Anyway, just a reminder, this blog was originally written for fun, ok?

When the line between reality and fantasy is blurred……you get a mess. This entry is about two stars who played Kim Sam Soon and Sam Shik in the Korean series “My name is Kim Sam Soon“…Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin. I know, the series is hardly new but I just watched it and being curious about their collaboration, I went into youtube.com and found loads of stuff about them and came up with many videos showing signs (very distinct and clear ones) that these Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin are actually in love.
Think Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt after they filmed “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” (is it the right title or not ah?). I am not a star and have never acted on film before (not that I want to because I think I suck at acting - I know because I tried in college) but I’ve closely collaborated on dance and singing with the opposite sex before. And I’ve experienced the kind of closeness that, if not closely guarded and capped off, can lead to off-screen or off-stage or off-studio romance.
It’s simple. I mean, people get close to each other and start to understand each other a lot more whenever they’re involved in something for a period of time and when the project requires close proximity, we’ll feel something. Only when someone is totally strong-willed or very resolute about remaining ‘friends’, the possible romance is cut-off. But it’s difficult. In case you’re asking, yes, I have fallen for my partners before. I married a colleague, didn’t I?
But in the case of Hyun Bin and Kim Sun Ah, there are bigger obstacles standing in their way.
One, Kim Sun Ah WAS attached. Two, there’s an age gap…Kim Sun Ah is 6 years older than Hyun Bin. Really. Not one year, not three years but a SIX-YEAR gap. Is a relationship like that possible? So far, in reality, I’ve only known a good friend who used to date a guy who was younger than her by six years (too) and it didn’t end happily.
At the end of filming, Kim Sun Ah was absolutely inconsolable. Here’s Hyun Bin reaching out to wipe tears off her face.

I know I am nuts but since accessing the Internet right now is so painfully slow and I am sitting here waiting and waiting and waiting for ONE SINGLE PAGE to load, I might as well make myself useful. I wrote a detailed report on findings about the relationship between Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin and sent it to my sister who is also a Hyun Bin fan. And since I spent so much time typing it out and I am still sitting and WAITING AND WAITING got the pages to load, I might as well use it in my blog.
You all are going to call me SIOW LANG (hokkien word for crazy person) after reading this. But too bad lah. I don’t care wor. 
So, here’s my detailed report.

THE HYUN BIN + KIM SUNA REPORT

Fact 1
If you watch the NGs, you’ll see that even off-screen, they have loads of body contact. There was this show in Korea where they ranked Kim Suna as one of the best bodies in Korea and then they captioned it at the bottom saying “Hyun Bin knows Kim Suna’s breast/body best!’ Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

And then after the show, Hyun Bin invited Kim Suna (alone) to watch him play baseball. When he hit a homerun, he kissed the air three times, maybe it’s a secret indication between them and Kim Suna (aiyo, wear low cut like hell) laughed happily.
Fact 3
During filming and before the awards, Kim Suna always say that Hyun Bin is a really good friend and Hyun Bin always say that he respects Kim Suna. Early this year, Kim Suna stopped wearing her ‘boyfriend’ ring which indicates that she has broken up with her boyfriend. (She once said that she will never take the ring off because the ring is very important to her boyfriend) She refuses to answer anything when asked about her relationship. And from then on, a few months later (July/August 2006), Hyun Bin started giving out hints to the public that he would like to date someone who baked cakes with him in a movie before.

Hyun Bin said that Kim Suna is a ‘sex goddess‘ to him. Uuuuwwwaahhhhh…….Hyun Bin said a lot of things….like he will remember the ’sexy dance’ scene in KIm Sam Soon for the rest of his life. He likes to date someone like KSS. He likes older women.

Kim Suna says that age doesn’t matter as long as he looks mature and\nthinks maturely. Hyun Bin spots a beard and looks awfully mature\these days after filming his new series ‘Snow Queen’

Ever since reporters started suspecting that Kim Suna’s relatonship with her boyfriend has ended, Hyun Bin gave hints again (he likes to play these mind games with the public hor! Jerk. Just say ‘yes‘ or ‘no‘ lah!!!). When asked if he has a girlfriend, he said he calls her everyday whenever he’s free and she’s Miss K. When asked if it was Miss Kim Suna, he scratched his head and didn’t answer. If it’s not Kim Suna, then just say ‘no’ lah, right or not? What is so difficult with saying ‘no’? Furthermore, Kim Suna also didn’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ either when reporters asked her.

There’s another ‘Kim’ reporters suspected, the one he acted with in Snow Queen but Hyun Bin came right out and said, “No. She has always been, will always be, now and in the future, be a good senior to me‘. Why can’t he say like this about Kim Suna???? Damn easy, isn’t it? just say ‘no, it’s not her‘. But when it comes to KSA, he leaves it blank.

Being a little skeptical and analytical, I thought that maybe it’s someone who’s not in the entertainment industry or someone behind the scenes. But according to an interview, Hyun Bin said that he prefers to date someone who is in the same line because only then will she understand the sacrifices and scenes he has to do while filming. So, that might rule out the possibility of it being someone off screen.

Hyun Bin says that he will only go out with girls his mother likes (such a good boy) and accordingly, the whole of Korea knows that Hyun Bin’s mother is a big big BIG fan of Kim Suna!

Remember the final scene for Kim Sam Soon where they kiss at the stairs? That was planned by Kim Suna and it wasn’t in the script. After filming that scene, Kim Suna publicly apologised to her boyfriend and Hyun Bin also apologised to her boyfriend. What lah! If there’s nothing between them, what’s there to be sorry about? The boyfriend is jealous, maybe.

When the crew wrapped up filming for Kim Sam Soon, Kim Suna cannot stop crying! You watch and see for yourself. Keep crying and crying and crying. Hyun Bin actually wiped her tears away with his hands in public. And she touched his face and he took her hands. Hyun Bin was also close to tears but he didn’t cry lah. Only Kim Suna who cannot stop crying…everyone else was puzzled. Maybe the crew and cast knew something was going on already lah….you’d have to be blind to not see the connection between them. Touch here touch there, hold hands even when they’re not filming, when Kim Suna was filming and she was sick, they filmed this scene where Hyun Bin drags KSA off….after the director called ‘CUT. OK’, HB continued to drag KSA away from the set and KSA waved ‘bye bye’ to everyone there. Presumably, he is worried about her health and want her to rest. So sweet and tai-sek. They stopped only when the Director shouted, “Anyeong. Paili Paili. Bi wa” (Not like that. Hurry, come here)
Fact 12
When HB receives his award for Best Actor for Kim Sam Soon, HB was touched lah but it was KSA who was close to tears! Eh? She looks even happier than when she received the Best Actress award (not the Baeksang award. She cried like nobody’s business when receiving the Baeksang award)
Fact 13
When the host (at the awards) asked KSA if she and HB met up after filming, she said that the cast recently met up. The lady who played her sister in KSS answered for her that it was a couple of days ago last week. How can you forget that it was last week a few days ago??? Memory so bad meh? Chances are, she and Hyun Bin actually met up even after that and she has completely forgotten when was the last time she and Hyun Bin were seen together publicly.

KSA’s dress during the awards show was really a bad choice cause it was too long and heavy, so, she’s always tugging the top up and pulling the gown up so that she can walk without tripping. On stage, HB helped pull the skirt up so that she can walk properly several times on stage! On stage wor. How many actors and actresses do you know feel close enough to do that?
Fact 15
You should watch S Diary, man. KSA and Gong Yoo (another younger Korean male actor) really heated up the screen with their sex scene. No kidding…..bra, panties, naked back, blow job, spreading of legs….oooiiiyyooo….unbelievable. She teamed up with him again in ‘She’s on duty‘ but no rumors about them wor. They’re really matching also. How come?

See? I siow or not??? So, who in the friggin hell is Miss K also don’t know. But the biggest possibility is Kim Suna lor. Don’t you think? There’s more, you know. Some of these people really analyze every scene of the series and every NG, every interview, every word and every item of clothing they wear. They even noted that Kim Suna and Hyun Bin had birthmarks on the same part of their bodies!!! REALLY.
Well analyzed. Have watched this drama for over a year now, and convinced that there is something to all the speculations fr the actions/comments fr these two, especially HB. Wonder if in two years, HB’s hope of marrying comes true?

The thing is that Hyun Bin has been saying so many suggestive things that it drives people bananas trying to find out if it’s Kim Sun Ah or not. And that Kim Sun Ah never say anything also. Tiresome already. But whatever it is, we wish them BOTH well and since both of them have superb careers on the rise, it wouldn’t make any sense for them to publicly proclaim anything at this point in time. And besides, if I were Kim Sun Ah, I would also feel very apprehensive about a relationship with a guy who is…not one, not two, not three but SIX YEARS younger than me.

First of all, thanks for the detailed analysis - I loved it and couldn’t agree more! I’ve been watching My Lovely Samsoon recently and became obsessed with the show! Yes, my husband would agree that I’ve become a “siow lang” too! Can’t help it - Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin are so cute and sexy together! Their on-screen chemistry is hot and off-screen shots show that they’re closeness/bond is more than just simple friends/castmates! I must admit that “Brokeback Mountain” did cross my mind at some point because their chemistry was so good and he seems so right for her that I started worrying about something spoiling my secret hope that they will get together - like bad news that he’s not available because of…! But no worries - I am definitely holding out for news that they are secretly dating and I’m just waiting for the day when they finally reveal that they are getting married and plan to have lots of cute kids together! My husband thinks that its my romantic side coming out because I love hearing about couples who fall deeply in love with one another despite the obstacles! Im already a huge fan of KDramas way before MNIKSS…. and Im a hopeless romantic—i imagine that one day, these onscreen partners will admit that they are really together offscreen!!! Though, i always say to myself that it’s far from possible, it’s just that they have such good chemistry onscreen that’s why Im rooting for them to be together…. but with KIM SUN AH and HYUN BIN, my perspective changed. I have never seen an onscreen couple SOOO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER even behind the camera…. I SUPER LOVE THE SERIES and as time goes by, I have learned to love them too…. became so addicted to what’s the real score about them and became so preoccupied with them!!!! mary mack, DID I SEE IT?? I literally rewinded and played it over and over a thousand times!!! BUT accordingly, they drank a little before shooting and both were a little cuckoo when filming. he was shaken (and red) and TURNED ON when filming the kiss scene because of the alcohol, i suppose. Kim Sun ah’s resistance and alcohol tolerance must be very high because although she was also a little tipsy, she pulled away so fast she must have had a remote control in her. But boy oh boy, my secret wish is that they continued what they did later on ( in private) and take it beyond just kissing. Ha ha ha ha!!!! (a personal reminder: Marsha, be decent!!)

Great analysis. I agree about the analysis on restaurant kissing scene. HB was shocked and quite shaken after the scene. KSA was in complete control. I’m rooting for both of them. The chemistry is hot!! They both showed tenderness toward each other on and off screen. Who cares about age gap? as long as the couple understand each other. I will be looking out for this couple. I hope they will end up happily together in real life. MNIKSS is the best Kdrama I’ve watched. The verbal exchanges are crisp and well delivered. Thanks to great acting by KSA and HB. I hope there will be another Kdrama with both of them as lead characters.

Totally agree with you that MNIKSS is one of the best written Korean drama series to be produced. The storyline is a little more daring and different. The heroine is not your usual pretty and slim type and the hero is cocky as hell! Well played out with tons of chemistry to boot. My copy of KSS is to be treasured for a long time to come!! I hope Hyun Bin and Kim Sun Ah will be together in real life!

Your analysis is a good one. Brief but concise. I just hope KSA will at least give a statement regarding these things. Or that at least something will come up that they were indeed seeing each other. You know, I have noticed the body language in “My Lovely Sam Soon” (aka M.N.I.K.S.S). The way Hyun Bin looks at her while she eats. One way to tell if a man really likes you is if he likes to watch you eat. Hyun always watches her mouth, and even wants to touch her mouth. Even the way he looks at her has a dreamy quality to it. This, in my opinion, enhances the quality of their performance in M.N.I.K.S.S. The realistic quality gets me wrapped up in it.

I agree! Unless he can justify his actions and give us (his fans) an explanation to show that he didn’t lie or didn’t mean to use our love for SunBin combo to get ahead of his peers! i read somewhere in hyunbin’s interview in Japan that he said he ever cried and drink because of love a long time ago. Kim suna might still be with her boyfriend after mnikss and because of that hyunbin distance himself for a while and at that period he must be really sad. As for why hyunbin did not make any clarification over the internet because this matter may concern his friendship with Ms H and good guy don’t want to air his privacy in the public and the other reason may be sunbin is still not ready to go public with their relationships because not everyone will accept. hyunbin may want to discuss with suna as to how to deal with the whole affair without being blowed out of proportional. Actors always want to protect their relationship until they get married without outsiders’ interference as we know good relationships need cultivation. Suna had ever said that hyunbin is a perfect person, truthful and sincere in Japan. if we all believe that hyunbin is suna close friend then the possibility of hyunbin cheating on suna is not really established. why would a person want a betrayal for a close friend. This maybe the possibility. I still want to support sunbin until the truth is out. This is only my thoughts hope everybody is not agitated by it.
Yes,u’re right!I’ve started to try to find anything about HYUN BIN n SUNA!I was reading the post at other forums n not surprisingly most of the SUNBIN FANS have the same views as US,including Fans from another country.Don’t BLAME us bcos it wasn’t our FAULT!Yeah,certainly just wait n see how his explanation!But i’m totally v.confused n feel like cannot trust his statement anymore!it’s a bit complicated. As we all know some stars are quite open about their love life without fear of losing the support of their FANS.So from begining Hyun Bin SHOULD have open to us at least say something about his real life dating,but that girl is NOT miss.K..as simple as that!Maybe that time everybody can consider/tried to accept the BAD NEWS!Even though THAT statements were V.Hurtful n V.SAD!Well,now I DON’T EXPECT MUCH…SIGH…
But in HB reply to the fans when he returned from his ‘working vacation’, it seems to me he has been and IS still dating this Ms H, because he said “it’s a little awkward to be calling us sweethearts at this point of time”. If he is not dating, he would say “it’s awkward” not just ” a little awkward”……It seems like he is now afraid to lose those fans who’s been supporting him because of Kim Su Nah & Hyun Bin team. I still can’t forgive him for deceiving us.

Yup, read that one and he is starting to panic after hearing so many angry comments. Poor Hyun Bin. I have to admit that I am angry too - I mean, come right out and say that “No, I respect Kim Sun Ah and we’re really good friends. However, we are not interested in each other in that kind of way!” That would definitely have put an end to our dreams of seeing Kim Sun Ah together.
Although I personally wish him and Hwing Ji Yun well and hope they are happy together, but I still cannot forgive him for leading us on. I won’t be as supportive as I used to be. In fact, I wanna sell my original ‘Kim Sam Soon’, ‘Ireland’, ‘Millionaire’s first love’ because it makes me feel angry with him. Cute as he is….it was a wrong career move, man!
I hope he does well in his career and love as well. But…unless he can explain why he never responded to our claims and stupid reports which made us all look like BLOODY FOOLS, pawns to be played around with, then this is the end of my support for someone of support acting caliber and incredible talent.

Yes, I agree with you. As for myself, I have not been able to bring myself to watch any of the videos again since the news broke. Come to think of it, I was dreaming and I believe a lot of us were, of that perfect love, perfect couple…… So it could be a blessing that it is time now for us to wake up and move on.

See, how angry he made us? Feel betrayed right? That’s why, how to support him when I don’t even want to see his photo now…….. I think this young man Mr. Hyun Bin thought he was just having some fun with us. While he was enjoying publicity and fantastic support from us with all his “hints” , he did not realise how our hopes were building, and how we loved this “SUNBIN” couple so dearly in our hearts. Tch tch tch….now, we’ll never know the truth: why he said Ms K? And our dear Ms Kim - what “on off relationship” (what kind of relationship is that)?, so is it on or is it off with her businessman boyfriend? So after these 2 years, you mean there was nothing going on? And we spent so much time trying to figure out “nothing”? Yeah, the whole thing about Miss K makes me really mad. They can say anything they want. Yes, we probably brought it on to ourselves but he didn’t help much either. We were the ones in the hopeful (vulnerable) position and he was in the position to manipulate that hope and feelings. If he had been outright in his approach of our dreams, we wouldn’t have wasted so much time ‘dreaming’ of their potential relationship.
Ah well….as far as Hyun Bin is concerned, I don’t pretty much care anymore although I have to admit that he is a talented artistes. But for now, he will remain just that - another talented actor.

Marie, this report is not true at all and there is no basis for it. Just for fun. Yes, Ms. Hwang is currently potentially Mrs. Kim Tae Pyung (Hyun Bin’s real name).
I know i will end up getting bashed for my post, but i have to say my piece, All of U are really crazy man! why are u pointing fingers at hyunbin..why not suna? she definitely have a bigger part in this..why is she keeping quiet all this while, she got a bf you know, she should voice out…but she didnt..not onces at all for the past 2 yrs..WHY??WHY?? BCOS his answers its not meant for her..it’s SAMSOON that they the ‘media n hyunbin’ were were refering to..its u people my dear, that jump to conclution and love them to be together so much, started all this..its U people.. even created the word SUNBIN for them and makes things complicated..All the photos of them together are being photoshop by sunbin lovers..For the past 2 yrs my dear..can u produce a REAL PHOTO of them together dating..a big NO!..So now, what are u all trying to say..That all of you felt cheated..Come on!..hyunbin and suna didnt betrayed anyone at all..i know most sunbin lovers are from phillipines..please be truthfull to yourself..just accept the outcome..and respect both of them, who they want to be with..Thank you all and God bless…

Yeah, if there’s anything that I agree with you, it’s that we’re probably crazy! But we have the right to be crazy and the right to be sore. We’re just more INTO it than you are. As simple as that. There’s no reason for you to be unreasonable just because we’re not on the same page about things. End of story…
Number 2 ??? let’s say ‘IF’he really chasing after her with all those hints, like what U GUYS THINK… But then, there’s no respond from suna..and he waited for 2 yrs for her, and she still cant deside,(what should he do) Dont expect him to be a monk! Dont expect him to wait forever for suna to break up with her bf.. So WHY cant he fall in love again..with another girl hah! WHY? He waited for her? Oh please…now look who’s starting to hallucinate! Tck Tck Tck. As mentioned, he has every right to fall in love with whoever he wants - but fact remains that he is in the position to handle his fans’ feelings. Knowing how strongly his fans were about the SunBin combo, he knew that he was setting us up for disappointmenet if he were to start dating anyone else other than Kim Sun Ah. But he made no mature move to help his fans adjust to his new relationship. It would be totally acceptable for him to date anyone else, be sure about this! All fans respect him and feel that he is old enough to make that decision for himself.
BUT…he decided to let it all happen, suggest and hint at a possible development with Kim Sun Ah.
Let’s compare this to another combo. RAIN and Song Hye Gyo. News from the grapevine was rife as well. But RAIN and Song Hye Gyo did not go around dropping suggestive hints to their fans, they expressly denied a relationship and maintained their stand till the end. They did not give false hope to their fans. I kinda want them to be together as well - but if they DON’T end up together, so what,the hope was close to NIL anyway! But Hyun Bin raised our hope to the height of hysteria.

Things have gotten out of hand, so, I am closing the comment option now. I am sure we each have our own opinion but clearly, this issue affects some of us and it doesn’t to others. But since this is a divide that we cannot cross together, then let it be-lah, ok?

It was initially written for fun, when there was nothing to do, for my sister which I emailed her. Since I spent a lot of time writing and analyzing things, I thought it’d be good to post it in my blog.
It all started this way but as you can see…things turned out bad.
So, never mind. Let’s keep the peace and go on with our daily lives….and let Hyun Bin live his. Whether to continue supporting Hyun Bin or not…each of us have our own prerogative.
